Marriott Manila has officially opened its Grand Ballroom, the Philippines’ largest ballroom, thereby securing its position as the premiere meeting destination in the country.
The Grand Ballroom offers a total 8,000 square meters of function space with 28 versatile meeting space including 6 VIP sky boxes, which will become the ideal destination for the MICE Industry (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions). With a total of 10,000 square meters of function space perfect for small or large meetings and all types of celebration and grand events, Marriott Hotel Manila’s grand ballroom makes it the largest ballroom in the Philippine hotel industry.

What makes this ballroom interestingly unique is the 3,000 sqm space which boasts of being the first pillarless event place in the Philippines. The area can easily accommodate 4,000 guests for cocktails and 2,500 for their banquet set-up. The ballroom can also be subdivided into four sections and uses the the SkyFold Technology, a state-of-the-art technology operated at a push of a button. It has vertical folding partitions that comes from the ceiling and 176 Programmable Pillow Ceiling Lights that changes to 360 colors and can adjust the ceiling height from 12 meters to 10 meters for a more intimate gathering. This kind of technology is the first in the Philippines and Marriott Manila Hotel is proud to have this system in place in their grand ballroom.
The ballroom is designed to be flexible and to have easy access for various bookings like product launches, wedding receptions and more making it an event organizer or attendee’s dream come true.

Bayanihan, a Filipino term for the community spirit, is where the designers got their inspiration and overall design making it a symbol of unity and celebration. A touch of Filipino heritage can be seen from the modern and sleek design of the entire venue too.

A lighted bamboo piece can be seen at the lobby and is complemented by customized pieces by renowned Filipino furniture designer Kenneth Cobunpue. Intricate details seen in the Marriott Hotel Manila Grand Ballroom depict the local arts and culture of the country, which are inspired from indigenous colors and materials, even traditional dance showcasing spatial flow and movement.

For that added touch of elegance, Marriott Manila commissioned Hong Kong based Art Consultant and International Interior Decorator Anja Silling of Melange Intertiors Ltd, to create a luxurious ambience through modern art pieces. Once you get inside the ballroom, you will notice more than a hundred modern art pieces displayed featuring works from both local and international artists, including custom-made works from the Melange Studio.
