2016 has been one awesome adventure for me. I feel so blessed to have travelled near and far. And I’ll be forever grateful to my family, friends and collaborators who have made this year one of the best yet.

So before the year ends, I would like to send some of the blessings your way by offering a few things I selected and bought for you this Christmas. And although Christmas is almost near, here’s me extending Christmas for you guys before the year ends as a way to thank each and every one of you who have been with me in my past, present and future journeys.

I got these when I attended TBEX last October courtesy of Grab. Since I have too many pillows and I’m sure it will only be forgotten somewhere, I think it’s best to find a new home for it. It comes with a cute Grab notebook for you to write your travel notes or something.

This was given by the Tourism Board of the Philippines during our TBEX  fam trip. I haven’t used it though but I know whoever gets this will find it really handy when you go on trips. You can stash it inside your luggage or big backpacks and use it when the need arises.

With summer fast approaching, safekeeping your gadgets when you head to the beach is necessary. I’m a sucker for kawaii items and I immediately fell in love with these items from Papemelroti, especially the bike. Actually there are more I’d want to buy but I was too conscious of how my luggage for my trip back home in Cebu would look like if I ended up buying more and the much bigger items. So I had to carefully consider what items to buy. I ended up buying ref magnets, an ethnic designed pouch, a tin can coin bank, an angel ornament for your mobile earplug jack, a key chain, and that lovely white bike. I really would have wanted to buy those cute travel themed wooden clocks but I had to stop myself. Ang excess baggage di mabangbang! 😆

Do you know the biggest surprise while shopping at their Shoppesville Greenhills Shopping Complex branch? The home and travel keepsakes are super affordable. It gave me the impression that this company is not really in it for the profit but more on offering something affordable for the average Juan. Shopping at Papemelrotti for cute finds wont’ give you that feeling that the store is robbing your wallet. But with the price range of the items sold, it’s hard to resist not hoarding on those cutesies. In fact, I already made a mental note to hoard more travel keepsakes when I happen to be in the neighborhood next time. I wish they’d consider putting up a branch in Cebu again. 🙂

Spotify Premium Membership for 12 months

Music is love. And I don’t know what life would be like without Spotify to keep me company. This is the reason I’m giving away a one year paid subscription for Spotify Premium so that you can listen to your favorite music without those pesky ads interrupting you. Totoro

I’ve announced on my Facebook page that I’m giving away Totoro’s twin. I bought the first one at the Studio Ghibli Museum Shop and the second one at a toy store near Asakusa, both in Tokyo, Japan last 2014. Both have never eaten dust yet and I decided it was time to give away the one I bought from the toy store since I’ll be keeping the one I got from the Studo Ghibli Musuem.

However, upon returning home from my recent 70-day backpacking trip, I discovered that the one I’m supposed to give away went missing and nowhere to be found. So imagine my frustration. I guess it learned of this contest and ran away before I came home. Tsk.

But I can’t retrace what I’ve said anymore. So I will be giving away the Totoro doll I got from Studio Ghibili instead. *sigh* I’m hoping that whoever wins it will take good care of it. On a lighter note, this will fuel my determination to go back to Japan to buy a new one and a bigger one too. 😀

I fell in love with it immediately because you give us insights about your own adventures, as well as useful and practical tips should we do ours. You also recommend amazing spots and I kept quite a bunch of screenshots from your page and told my friends about it. So far, most of our plans are ‘drawing,’ —I hope your familiar with this locution, meaning plans remained as plans and weren’t actually executed, usually because of lack of budget or unavailability of persons involved (ugh, young people and their hip lingo hahaha) but I’m hoping, really r e a l l y hoping that once we graduate and could support are own leisures, we’ll be able to do the things that you do, too. I love seeing different sceneries that captures the real and authentic beauty of places, and seeing photos of people —taken from their everyday lives, their smiles, the different emotions splayed on their faces.. I just.. I love photos that makes me feel different things and has the ability to bring me to different places as if i was there. And you made me feel this. Thankyou (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) your shots are amazing and my personal favorites are the ones from Thailand, Japan, and Cebu! ♡ I’ve always been interested in Thai culture especially in their cuisine, so I hope you could tell us more about their foods too! Hehe. I also loved your shots from Japan —ohmygosh, Japan, my forever dream destination. Hahaha! My favorite was your shot of two geisha walking on streets, I’ve always a l w a y s wanted to meet one. Kyah~ xD but I am a proud Filipino, so call me bias but my most favorite are the ones taken from cebu. Ghad, nothing beats the beauty of Philippine beaches. I’ve been in Palawan, Subic, Mindoro, Batangas, and Leyte when I was younger (my dad’s part of Philippine navy and he bring us with him for a few days whenever he was assigned to different places, so I guess I was kind of lucky too) and I enjoyed every moment of it just how a child should enjoy her childhood. But my friends and I really had our eyes on Cebu ever since the first time we had our first adventure in Batangas. We said that it would be our next BIG thing and its really cool knowing you’re settling in cebu. Hope we could bump into you when we finally had the chance to visit in there! But anyway, I’m already babbling and sorry for taking too much of your time, I just really want to express my admiration in you (´ω｀♡)
