“A large drop of sun lingered on the horizon and then dripped over and was gone, and the sky was brilliant over the spot where it had gone, and a torn cloud, like a bloody rag, hung over the spot of its going. And dusk crept over the sky from the eastern horizon, and darkness crept over the land from the east.”
― John Steinbeck
Despite living in Cebu City for over 3 decades, it amazes me to discover hidden nooks in this bustling place where you can simply sit down and pause while you take in all of nature’s beauty.
“One day I will find the right words, and they will be simple.”
― Jack Kerouac
The best thing about it is that I don’t have to travel far just to find this piece of heaven as it’s just a 15-minute drive from our place.
I’ve always been curious what the Cebu Yacht Club looks like. I used to work at a mall across this place but never bothered checking it out. I learned that the yacht club just recently opened its doors to the public and I love them for that. Beautiful views need to be shared, imho.
Currently, there are around 6 restaurants in the area that caters to different crowds. I’ve only tried two and will aim to try the others soon. A wharf that will ferry off passengers from the city to Camotes Island will open soon in the area too, and that’s such a wonderful news!
Mactan Island seemed a bit delayed in terms of urban development (mall-wise) and it’s nice to see a surge on these. It means one doesn’t have to leave the island and go to the main city to dine out or shop. Finally, Mactan Island is getting its much needed ugrade. I guess the only thing that’s lacking are cinemas. Once that’s put in place, it will be a game-changer for the island.
That and the island’s pretty sunsets. Oh, and wonderful beach resorts too. 😉
